Bellboy (Porter)
The Bellboy supports guest arrivals and departures, ensures excellent luggage handling, and provides professional assistance to maintain a smooth and comfortable guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome arriving guests and assist with their luggage.
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room facilities and amenities.
- Deliver luggage, messages, faxes, and packages, and respond to guest requests.
- Confirm guest count, label luggage with guest name and room number, and ensure no luggage is left in vehicles.
- Assist departing guests by transporting luggage from rooms to the lobby and confirming ownership.
- Support valet and parking operations when needed by directing and moving vehicles safely.
- Keep luggage clean, protected, and never unattended.
- Carry luggage from entrance to room and demonstrate room equipment usage (lights, TV, telephone, ventilation, safe, and mini-bar).
- Report room equipment malfunctions immediately to the maintenance department for fast resolution.
